Five on Friday

I'm linking up with Darci AprilChristina and Natasha for Five on Friday today.

 - ONE -

Monday afternoon Micah's t-ball coach had offered to have an additional practice for anyone that wanted to join him and his kid. Micah is enjoying t-ball and we didn't have any plans so I went ahead and took him after working out at the gym. When we got there I was wishing I had brought my "big girl" camera because the light was amazing. Lexie was being very opinionated though and had to pick her own spot to stand and would move every two seconds to a new spot. She would say 'cheese' and give me a darling huge smile, then run to a new spot. It would have been quite the workout to get a great shot of both girls since Lexie didn't want to be next to sister as she would run away giggling when Abby sat next to her.
- TWO -
On the way to drop Micah off at school, I was playing the CD I have of the songs they sang at Abby's VBS over the summer. When one song came on about 1 Timothy 4:12, Alexis started doing some of the motions to the song. I love how she has picked up on the motions from singing them at VBS and from Abby doing them in the car with her. So sweet - it melted my mommy heart!
- THREE -
This morning I finally decided on what Lexie should be for Halloween and we went and gathered the supplies to make her costume. So this is my weekend project. I can't wait to see this come together. It's been in my head since before she was born but I was debating if I should do it this year or next. I also pulled the trigger on buying Micah's costume so I only need to round up pieces for Abby's costume and one more piece for Lexie's then we'll be ready for Halloween. Well except I'm still debating new Halloween pjs. The big two have finally outgrown their old glow in the dark skeleton ones and they loved them so much I think I need to find them new ones.
- FOUR -
I'm so ready for the weekend even though it will be a busy one with Bible class both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I'm just ready to sleep in a tiny bit longer since we won't have to be up for Abby to catch the bus at 7 in the morning.  (Hopefully Lexie will get that memo!) I'm also excited for our fun family plans. We are hoping to finally take the kids bowling for the first time. Micah also has his second t-ball game. I still haven't found him black baseball socks yet. I should get on that... though they aren't necessary I suppose and it's not picture weekend. Hopefully it doesn't rain on us at the game. Hard to believe after 4-ish years of drought weather that I'm worried about a t-ball game being rained out.

- FIVE -
I had a very happy mail day today with Alexis's Christmas dress showing up. Well it would have shown up yesterday but I accidentally forgot to change our address from our old one to our new one (how I missed that until tracking showed out for delivery I don't know!) I called the post office 5 minutes after they were closed for the day and someone answered. Not only that but he looked up my package after I gave him the tracking number, went and found the package since the mail carrier had just arrived back, put the right address on it and had it delivered today. Best service I've ever had from the post office. It had been hard to even get them on the phone when we were waiting for them to change the locks on the box and wanted to know if the keys were ready after we moved in!
