Ear infections, resolutions and project 52

This week started on Sunday with Abby complaining of her ear hurting, then not 30 minutes later she said it felt better. Odd. The next night she slept poorly and made another complaint about her ear hurting around 5 am. At that point we decided that this clearly must be an ear infection and it wasn't one that would go away in the 4-7 days Dr. Sears says most will go away in. We've been blessed and haven't had ear infections other than one when Abby was 4 months old, so the first time she complained of ear hurting I figured it was just due to the sinus drainage she had going on but that turned out to be wrong. She's on antibiotics now and on the mend.
'Around the house'

It's now the new year and the time for resolutions so I figured I'd type mine out here:

  • Continue to make it to the gym regularly; at least 4 days a week and lose the remaining baby weight from Micah.
  • Drink more water.
  • Work on picking up at the end of the day and keeping a cleaner house in general -  I'll admit I'm not always the greatest at doing certain chores as often as I'd ideally like to do them and many days would much rather play and enjoy my little ones instead of cleaning but I'd like to make an effort to do a little more house keeping during the day instead of trying to do it all after the kids are in bed and letting the playroom/Abby's room stay covered in toys for weeks. Micah is at an age that he can and will help more (most days) instead of being needy or having to do things one handed while holding him so having the kids help clean the playroom each evening will become part of our daily routine. On this note I also cleaned the fridge today so it's sparkly clean for the new year now
  • Learn, practice and improve my photography skills. I'm going to try to participate in more photography assignments/challenges. I'm also going to participate in the Project 52 - which means taking a picture each week. There is a more involved P365 but I think I'll stick with the more reasonable P52 and try to follow along with the theme of the week. The theme for this week was around the house. I figure with New Years Resolutions & Abby's ear infection this week that a picture of Abby's medicine in the clean fridge is a pretty good photographic representation of this week.
  • Memorize scripture To be specific 24 verses in 52 weeks - 2 a month - as part of the Siesta Scripture Memory Challenge by Beth Moore.

I'm doing the scripture challenge too! Maybe we can go to the big celebration of it next year :)

Here's my first verse:

I Chronicles 28.20 (NKJV)
And David said to Solomon, his son "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God - my God - will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord."
