highs and lows

Today was the last day of Bible class for the semester. I'm sad to not see our friends every Tuesday for the next month or so and also sad our time was cut short. I had to skip out on the fellowship afterwards to go rescue Beau from the parking lot at our bank since his truck wouldn't start. Not the call I wanted to hear today - or any day for that matter. Thankfully I have a wonderful friend whom I met through Bibleland who's husband works on cars that Beau has hung out with before that was able to talk Beau through some things to check and the truck is now running again. I'm praying hard tonight that it continues running.

With all that going on a girl's gotta relieve some stress right? Thankfully I already had a remedy to that lined up - I couldn't have predicted the events that it followed but it worked out well. Grandma and Grandpa (Beau's parents - my inlaws) had given me a gift certificate for a hot stone massage, hot towel/cold stone facial massage and a foot scrub at the massage place that we had a girls afternoon out last time SIL was in town. I had been looking forward to this since my birthday and Beau and I were finally able to coordinate a time with his busy schedule for him to watch the little bits while I enjoyed some pampering.
Oh it was fabulous! I feel throughly pampered and relaxed now. My feet are all soft from the foot scrub as well. Such a treat. Thanks so much Grandma and Grandpa!

I have to say Beau was not quite as relaxed as I was when I returned home. The little bits were a little crazy while I was away. Somewhat due to Micah only getting about half his nap and some because Abby was tired and when she is tired she bounces off the walls and has to be into everything Micah is into. I can't say that got much better when I got home. We tried to an early bedtime but Abby really didn't want to go to bed. It was rough to say the least. Hopefully she'll wake up well rested tomorrow.
