Garlic knots and random rambling

MMM... we had these yummy garlic knots with dinner tonight.
Beau couldn't even wait for me to take a picture before digging in. I don't blame him they made the house smell so yummy. They tasted delicious as well! I made the batch and baked 5 and froze the other five dough knots for another night. They complimented the yummy grilled pork chops that Beau cooked perfectly - it was a delicious dinner all around! I'm still stuffed!
Micah actually ate more pork chops than broccoli tonight. That's an impressive statement because usually he'll devour broccoli and leave the rest.

Gigi and Pops are coming into town tomorrow. I haven't mentioned it to Abby yet because I'm not quite ready for the when are they going to be here questions all day so she'll be so excited when I have an eta and tell her who is coming to visit! It should be a fun weekend with them here - a hopefully a good LSU game to watch Saturday night.

While Abby was at preschool this morning Micah and I attempted to fold and put away some laundry. I say attempted because Micah was my super helpful little guy this morning. When I had folded a stack of clothes and made them into piles to go different places - he could come and grab a pile and take it off. Mostly he brought several piles into Abby's room on the floor. He did put one of my shirts into the drawer it belonged in. Then when I asked him - he brought back most of the previously folded clothes he had taken into Abby's room so I could fold them back. At that point he wanted to put clothes into a laundry basket. So I managed to direct him to only get his clothes and Abby's clothes so those aren't folded anymore but they are at least in the room they need to be put away in and I'll fold and put them away tonight without the extra work help. I love this helpful stage even if it means folding the same clothes four times!

Now I should go put those clothes away and get a few chores done without my little helpers so we can enjoy some nice playtime tomorrow!

Anyone have any fun weekend plans?

these turned out adorable! and nate was more interested in eating the candy corn too, after they dried i hung them up with black ribbon and hung them off the hooks in our entry, they looked festive, and the boys are totally in to halloween. i think we are going to try halloween cards tomorrow, and halloween cupcakes, i want to dye the cake part orange, and they have frosting with halloween sprinkles and walmart. i also thought it would be cute to make ghosts with marshmallows glued on or little pieces of tissue paper, but haven't figured out something good for the eyes, any suggestions?
