Energizer Smart Charger

I stumbled across a blog post about this Energizer Smart Charger. I remember having rechargeable batteries growing up when they first came out but I'm not sure why we stopped using them. I believe I even did a science project experiment that won a couple prizes on which type of battery last longest. I don't remember the winner of that experiment though.

I think the Smart Charger would be awesome for us. I never can seem to find the package of batteries when I need it for a remote, the Wii remotes and especially the Wii fit board. And with little ones you know there are going to be toys that need batteries and those same little ones will be disappointed if you don't have a fresh set of batteries to go in said toy. What better way to solve that problem than to have a charger so you don't have to buy more batteries and can charge them up right away?

The smart charger even has a count down timer and a indicator to show how full the batteries are! Perfect for little ones who will always ask are they ready yet?!

Fine print: This post was written for a chance to receive a smart charger and $15 gift card.  More details here if you want to check it out. The opinions about the product are my own. :)

I've been gradually trying to put rechargables in all our remotes and such.

But I find that in the Blu-Ray remote and the Wii remotes, they just don't last long. It's aggravating, wanting to play a game, and the batteries are dead. I bought Duracell; and my boss bought Energizer for our work camera --- they also have lost their oomph.

I also got a set of batteries to last awhile in my breast pump, but I'm not sure if they lasted longer between charged than non-rechargables. I charged them every week. Those batteries are currently in the baby monitor, and also die pretty quickly.

But yet the batteries I use in my camera have lasted 5 years and I can go months between charging.

So my conclusion: Rayovac Hybrid are the best. Period. Or find batteries that are for cameras, they might last awhile.
