sesame street @ sea world

Sesame Street is at Sea World this week and the following weekend so we decided to head out there with some friends and check it out. The Sesame Street show is pretty cute. Even Micah got into it and kinda bounced along with the music some. I forgot to switch out my lenses on my camera so I didn't have a lens with a zoom on it so this is the best shot I could get of the show. Maybe we'll go back and try to catch it again.
After the show we hit the playground but it (like the rest of the park!) was super crowded and it was hard enough to keep up with where all the kids were to make sure they didn't get lost. We tried to go to Azul (the dolphin/beluga show) but it was standing room only by the time we got there because we didn't want to sit and wait forever as we knew the little ones would have been done with sitting before the show even began. So we headed to see the penguins, then the sea lion show (in which we missed 1/2 of since we had to go potty), then we headed to the aquarium to see the fish, sharks and poison dart frogs.

Forgetting to switch the lens did benefit me in the dark aquarium. I still couldn't managed to get a good shot of Abby though. Here's one of the best shots of Abby's face - she's been avoiding looking at the camera a lot lately.

Then to my favorite. The dolphins. They've switched it up and have a feeding side on one 1/2 the pool and a observation side on the other 1/2 so it's way crowded. I'm not liking that change because when the feeding booth is closed there is a whole empty side of the pool that no one gets to use. We did finally get a spot for the kids to lay on the side of the pool and watch the dolphins.
They have some young dolphins (at least they looked young as they were smaller like the baby and toddler dolphins we saw 2 years ago) These young ones like to play and were really showing off today.
Doing the backstroke...

One of the bigger adults showed off on the opposite side of the pool by resting on the ledge.

After the dolphins all the kiddos were wearing down and it was getting close to dinner time so we headed home. All in all it was another great day at Sea World. I could have done without a lot of the crowd. I don't think I've seen it so crowded in a long time - probably because I usually avoided the weekends during the summer when it would have been crowded. Now we still need to go back again soon because we still haven't caught the Believe (orca) show yet this season or the full Azul show since that was only a dress rehearsal when we saw it last time.
