Christmas morning

Christmas Eve present

Okay so we let Abby open one present early on Christmas Eve because mommy couldn't wait to see her open them! We let her pick which one (though we would have redirected her to a different one if she had picked one of her big presents.) She picked the bag that had the baby doll sling in it since she uses blankets, string and pants as slings already so now she has a "real" one. She loves it and wore baby for an hour!

Cookies part 3

The final product: a mess and yummy Christmas cookies!

Cookies part 2

Rolling out cookies to bake and eating some dough!

Cookies part 1

Making the dough on Tuesday so it would have time to chill before rolling and cutting out the cookies!

Kangaroo

My little kangaroo - not the best picture as I took it myself!

Officially crazy

Beau and I were talking this morning.... before going outside or turning on the TV about how I had thought about going to the zoo this morning. Of course he was all for me going - so that I could pick up Jamba afterwards and bring one by his work. Abby heard all this and I told her we'd go after nap. She was excited and told me she wanted to see the lions, big turtles and monkeys.
Fast forward to stepping outside to light the grill for our hamburger lunch. BRRR!!!! It's a high of 44 degrees outside for the day!
So after nap (or lack there of) Abby reminds me of the zoo....
Can't say no to such a cute face so we bundle up and go. Thank goodness for the Ergo because I can bundle Abby in her jacket and she is of course wearing her warm boots. Then I have her on my front in the carrier and my jacket around most of both of us. So we stayed warm and cozy for the most part.... except our noses.
She loved the kangaroos - We saw one baby head sticking out the pouch of it's mommy but not sure it will show up in the picture I took but I'll upload it after Abby is asleep.

catch up

I finally got the pictures off my camera and put them on my computer so lots of new posts/pictures today.

Sea World (yes again!)

We went to Sea World last weekend and got our free ornaments and saw the dolphins. We didn't stay too long or see any shows so we could come home and put up Christmas decorations. Abby loved the dolphins this trip. She usually isn't too interested in watching them for very long but last time she stayed still laying on her tummy without having to remind her to stay laying down and we had to convince her to leave and go see the other animals (we saw the fish and frogs next - the frogs are usually one of her favorite parts - after the neighs.)
The now 5 month old baby dolphin who was born this summer - we got to see him/her when they were only hours old!

Mommy's make up

"You have eye?" is what Abby asked me as she borrowed my makeup and proceeded to put it on her eyes.
